Who are We?

Charlton Kings Tennis Place is a friendly tennis facility managed by Simon and Ruth Thomas.  We are keen tennis players ourselves and originally met whilst working at an indoor tennis centre together over 20 years ago!  We share a real enthusiasm for the game because its a good way of keeping fit, involving the whole family and meeting new people.

Simon has worked in the tennis industry as a coach, facility manager and development officer and currently works as a Coaching Network Manager across all sports.    

Ruth has experience of organising and managing new opportunities for local communities when working as a Family Learning Co-ordinator and Community Development Consultant and currently works part time as a Personal Tutor and Careers Co-ordinator.

Above all we would like to offer a tennis experience that is relaxed and friendly, giving people who have not played the game before or are a little rusty, the motivation to give it a go!
