Programme

 

The club programme is made up of individual court bookings, coaching courses, organised tennis social evenings, internal leagues and additional organised tennis events and competitions.  

 

Individual Court bookings

Members can book their own courts during court opening hours up to two weeks in advance.  You will be able to book on-line at no extra cost (if you are unable to do this you can contact Ruth or Simon Thomas by email or telephone to arrange a booking but there may be times where there is a delay in confirmation).  More details about court opening times are available  on the court opening times page.

Coaching Courses

Social Tennis, Thursdays from 6.30 pm and Saturdays 2-4 pm

These sessions are for adults (who have a basic understanding of the game and can serve, return and score ) to turn up and play games with other members in a social environment.  On Thursdays the social night is organised and balls provided.  Saturday afternoons are organised by players in attendance who bring their own balls.  The sessions are designed to be informal with an opportunity to meet other players with whom you may potentially arrange your own games with.

 

Junior Club Evening (supervised)

This takes place druing term time on Fridays from 4.30 - 6 pm .  It's a chance for younger members to get together and play friendly games.  This session is free for members, £2.00 for non members and is aimed at school years 6-9 who can have a ralley.  For those who want to, there will be an opportunity to play short matches against other members during junior club and enter the LTA Ratings.

 

 

Teenage Club

 

Fridays from 6 - 7.30 pm aimed at Years 10, 11, 12, 13 who have the basic strokes and can ralley.  Free for members, £2 for non members.  Chance to play fun games against other players, just turn up.

 

 

 

Tennis Leagues

For those who would like the opportunity to play against other members more competitively we will organise informal tennis ladders and help put potential tennis partners in touch with each other if required.  Depending on the level of interest there will be a combination of mixed/men’s/ladies’ doubles and singles ladders.  Interest for these can be registered by contacting us.

 

Tennis events and competitions

Throughout the season we will organise some additional fun events including Family Tennis Days, Round Robins and American Tournaments and social events (Note: there may be an additional cost for some of these events
